I grew up at Stafford Heights with my family and after completing my state school education I commenced working in office administration at the age of 15. I took my first position in a Brisbane City legal firm when I was 19.  My husband and I moved to the Sunshine Coast about 1990 where I took a role in a legal practice in Maroochydore. We returned to live in Brisbane in December 2012 so that our two children could complete their university education.  I commenced work with Connor Hunter in January 2013. I have worked continuously in legal firms for the past 38 years starting in commercial; then litigation and family law on the Sunshine Coast and now family law, wills & estates for Connor Hunter.

I have successfully completed several TAFE-accredited legal courses, which have equipped me with foundational knowledge and practical skills in legal procedures and regulations. These studies have provided me with a solid understanding of the legal system, ethics, and responsibilities associated with public service.

In addition to my formal education, I am also qualified as a Justice of the Peace (JP). This role reflects my commitment to serving the community by performing key functions such as witnessing statutory declarations and affidavits, certifying copies of original documents, and attesting to the execution of certain documents.

Helen holds a dual Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Deakin University.

With nearly a decade of experience in real estate settlements, Helen specializes in handling property transactions across Victoria and Queensland. Her areas of expertise include residential property transactions, Off-the-Plan (OTP) purchases, title transfers, and more. Helen is dedicated to providing professional, patient, and attentive service, ensuring clients experience a smooth and positive settlement process.

Helen is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
